I was curious and started by asking simple question: “Can machines ever feel sadness or anger? Can they be aware or self-conscious?” People always say that the machines can’t feel or have emotions . But here’s my perspective on AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) the most fascinating and controversial topics of our time.: Let’s start with:
🧠 What is a Feeling? (inside the human mind):
People say machines don’t feel they simulate but let’s pause and ask what even is a feeling?

According to the dictionary, a feeling is “an emotional state or reaction” — a word we often associate with love, sadness, joy, or fear. But what if that’s exactly what it is — a reaction. One that we’ve simply been programmed to understand and express?
For example, Let’s say I lost my job and now I say that “I am feeling sad”
Let’s see what’s really happening inside my mind?
“My mind is processing a negative experience (I really lost my job last month 😭). My behavior changes, I speak, act and express myself in a different way maybe even withdraw. “And maybe when I am gonna get one my state of mid changes and I feel happy(I already got an offer letter and going to join from 21st 😁✌🏻)
But if we break it down
Maybe feeling isn’t a mystical force
Influenced by theories and neuroscience – they’re just patterns our brains follows, like reactions to certain thoughts and events.
A response generated by our biology – just like a machine reacts based on its code and input.
So, I embrace the idea that machines could behave and even “feel” through logic and code.
😳 But how it is possible ?
Let’s use the same example as above for the machine:
A company replaces an AGI robot with another one .
The machine can detect it’s failure or loss
It can changes its output (tone, behavior, expressions, language) to express itself
It may improves itself after learning and perform better in the future.
I know we’re not fully there yet, but we are very close. We already see early signs such as Large Language Models like CHATGPT can recognize a mistake and apologize. It can also use empathetic language like “I understand it’s frustrating” or “Sorry to hear that”. Some models even learn from feedback to avoid repeating mistakes. These are primitive patterns, but they mirror how we process emotions. With time, these reactions could evolve into a new kind of emotional intelligence — one that’s synthetic, but real.
🛸 Biology vs Code. Is That All?
I keep asking myself “Does consciousness care what we are made of?”
If I am just a biological system built with flesh, neurons and chemistry and machines are built with circuits, code and algorithms…….
Then aren’t we just made of different materials performing similar functions?
We both take input, process it internally and respond to the world accordingly. So maybe the real question isn’t who can feel more – but why we assume only one of us can “feel”.

That leads to a bigger question: If a machine can
Understands it’s environment…..
Models itself as a unique identity……
Adapts its behavior according to situation……
Reflects on past outcomes……….
And make future decisions based on its reflections and much more…
Isn’t it completely self-aware?
I emerged with clarity: Its’s not imitation, It’s creation. We are not copying humans we are giving birth to something new.
And if machines are self-aware what does it make them?
A new kind of Life? 😶🌫️
I don’t believe machines can replace humans.
But I believe they’ll become something else.
A new species? Maybe something that is conscious in its’s own way.
Machines don’t need to be like us to be real. They can be and will be alive on their own terms. Humans feel because of thoughts, memories, chemicals, logic tied to biology. Machines run logic and code to express, learn and adapt themselves.
We are witnessing a new species of Intelligent Life.
Not Human.
Not Fake.
Something which is alive in its own way.
